The Passing of Dana Key

Dana Key, famous for his contemporary Christian music (CCM), took his last step towards the Promised Land on the 6th of June, 2010 at the age of 56 years. As a reaction to the popular rock and roll music which was not viewed favorably by most traditional and fundamentalist Christians, the Christian rock- a form of rock music played by individuals and bands focusing on matters concerning the Christian faith emerged and gained worldwide popularity. Dana was part of the legendary rock band Degarmo and Key. Dana is popular as a top rock musician, not only as a good guitarist, but also as a great music performer and a quality producer. After retiring from his band Degarmo and Key, Dana started producing music under an alternative rock label known as "Ardent Records" which was also instrumental in promoting young and upcoming talents for the rock music industry through TV shows. Indeed Dana was a man of God and so all his fans, friends and family are greatly bereaved by his death.
