The emergency officials have come up with a new technology which provides them with the information they need to avoid being in the path of the storm. The County officials say they're getting utility out of a new technology enabling them to update state officials.
This new technology is known as Web EOC and it assures that everyone is on the same page when it comes to evacuation in other dangerous situations. The emergency officials are also using social media sites like Facebook and Twitter to provide latest news for the residents and tourists. Bourcier said that "Social media is a new technology they have been utilizing. Though this new technology hasn't been used it in a storm situation before, they are trying to make the most of it.

The children returning back to school for a new academic year will set struggling parents back to expensive gadgets worth £212 for each child. As less than two weeks are left of the summer holidays, they are forking out to fill school bags with expensive gadgets.
The mobile phones are one of the most expensive gadgets which children carry to school with a standard cost of £95. Two-thirds of children carry expensive gadgets to school. More than 13% of children carry expensive gadgets including an iPad, or an e-reader. Matt Pernet, the head of 'More Than Home Insurance', who conducted this study, said that majority of the school children carry a mobile and are likely to pack a gaming console in their bag as compared to 10 years ago.
