Brandt “Pookie” Parke

Born and raised just south of Seattle (early 90s baby), B has always been fascinated with the city's legendary grunge scene, and also grew up listening to Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, AC/DC, Elton John, Prince, and many, many other greats. He started playing the guitar at age 13, and these influences became immediately apparent in the soulful approach to his playing style. While starting to write songs at the age of 14, Brandt soon discovered the true love between music and lyrics, and eventually went off to study music theory/guitar performance at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma. His first rock band, Mister Master, was formed in 2012, and he's been fully immersed in bands ever since. Besides the Dirty Birds, you can find Brandt playing heavy riff rock with the local Seattle band, Emergency Brake, or the acoustic pop duo, Parke & Lowery.

Fun Facts: Brandt loves tacos, beer, horror/sci-fi movies, a good book, cartoons, marine biology, house plants, small dogs, Coca-Cola, all Seattle sports, and a nicely rolled joint.

Favorite Bands: Led Zeppelin, Soundgarden, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Smashing Pumpkins, Alice In Chains, Lenny Kravitz”
